Novotel New Plymouth Hobson, New Plymouths newest 4.5 star hotel was opened on 16 December 2015 by the Honourable Paula Bennett. The hotel commenced construction in 2014 and is located in a prime location on the corner of Leach and Hobson streets, a short walk to the city centre and coastal walkway.

Novotel New Plymouth Hobson features 85 spacious and stylishly appointed executive and studio rooms as well as one and two bedroom apartments.

Governors Eatery + Bar is flooded with natural light from its large, street facing windows and focuses on regional cuisine to highlight the very best of local produce from around the Taranaki region.

Business and conference travellers can also take advantage of Novotel’s modern meetings and event facilities which include two rooms catering from a board room for 10 people or a cocktail function for 250 people.

Sam has more than fifteen years’ hospitality experience in New Zealand, UK & Australia including roles in major international hotel groups. Having been with AccorHotels for over 10 years, Sam has an in depth understanding of the Novotel brand. Progressing from studying hospitality in Auckland, Sam and his family have relocated to Taranaki to take on this new and exciting project.
